Losar
Losar is celebrated as the New Year by the Buddhists of Ladakh. The festival is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm and fervor. The festival includes dancing, singing, rejoicing and several other fun-filled activities. People visit each other and come out of their torches with torches of wood.

Tampe Chonga
It is the fifteenth day of the first Bodhi month. This festival is celebrated to mark the entry of Budhha into the womb of his mother.

Jipe Chonga
Jipe Chonga day is the fifteenth day of the fourth Bodhi month. It is the same auspicious day when Buddha is believed to have taken physical birth. On this auspicious day, people usually fast. Homes and gompas are decorated with lights and special prayers are held.
